Hi All,
For those of you who remember Dawn Lanting from the 2009 National Convention I am sending this email to let you know that her sister Kym passed away May 11, 2011.
Kym was a member of the Greater Toledo Chapter in 2009. She was a Diabetic and experiencing Vision Loss.
She had some Diabeti Complications which caused her foot to become seriously infected.
She then ended up with Gangrene because the doctors were trying to wait.
They even had her frepared for surgery and on the Table at one point.
The Gangrene went into the Bones in her Foot and Lower Leg.
Subsequently she went into a Coma and was placed on Life Support.
The Ventilator was discontinued the evening of May 11th.
As some of you may know Dawn's blindness is due to Diabetes.
She and Kym were vclose.
Dawn is now a Member of the At Large Chapter.
Chapter Members will be attending theservices and helping by making dishes for the Luncheon.
Please keep Dawn and Kym's family in your prayers.
