Dear Federationists,

It is official! October is here and Meet the Blind Month is running full
speed ahead! Federationists across the country are hosting and preparing
events. Currently, there are twenty-three states hosting Meet the Blind
Month event(s). Please see the list of states below. We are missing our
fellow Federationists in the other twenty-seven states, Washington D.C., and
Puerto Rico!

Several states kicked off Meet the Blind Month with a bang this weekend.
These states include Connecticut, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arizona,
Ohio, and Missouri. Iowa, New Mexico, and California will be joining the
force this week with their planned events.

Updates:

 *   At the moment, Texas is in the lead with thirteen events! The state is
closely followed by Virginia (ten events), Iowa (nine events), and
Mississippi (nine events).
 *   For those who ordered T-shirts, they were shipped on September 28th and
29th, three days ahead of schedule! Be on the look out for your shirts as
they should be arriving soon.
 *   If you have any questions or have an event you would like posted to the
calendar, please contact Melissa Kobelinski at (410) 659-9314, extension
2423.


Remember, every effort counts! In the words of Arthur C. Clarke, "The only
way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the
impossible."
