Please talk to Wanda Sloan at the board meeting she had told me of another
option but I don't remember all the details.  I can try and email her and
see if  I can get an answer for you.  She has no phone service at this time.

Carol - it is the special door to door service. And they do know where to
pick him up. If they don't leave him and he doesn't have to wait for another
bus then he has plenty of time to get back to school and get lunch and then
on to class. On paper, the schedule is perfect. Unfortunately, the drivers
are not doing what they are supposed to. I know this is just student
teaching, but it is a job to Kyle. And one should not be expected to leave
their job for the convenience of the driver. I don't know many employers who
would tolerate it. How do blind working adults who must rely on this type of
transportation make it work?

Wow Cindy that is crazy.  It is not Kyle's issue that she has to pick up her
grandson,only that she is paid to pick Kyle up and drop him off as her
service!  I hope someone in the area can help you resolve this. They do 
know his schedule and the door he comes out, and his correct pick up time,
right?   Does his pick up time allow JUST enough time to get back to school?
 Is there anyway to adjust the time by 10 minutes so he has time to get out
side?  Have you talked to the supervisor about the driver's complaints,
leaving, or creating a problem for Kyle's class schedule and tried to find
out how to adjust it?  This is a "special service bus/ride" like Columbus
mainstream pick up and not the regular bus service, right?

Kyle is doing his student teaching/practicum this quarter. He is in the
classroom until 11:10 each day. He is having problems with the bus arriving
more than 20 minutes early and expecting him to come right out. Last Friday
the bus was just beginning to pull out when he came out of the building. The
driver told him she was going to leave him and that she had made him late to
pick up her grandson. Today the driver did leave before he came out. His
pick up time is 11:15 and he came out right at 11:15. The driver said she
waited for 24 minutes for him. Now he won't be picked up until 12:15 and
this is going to cause him to miss his class at WSU. Has anyone else had
this problem in Dayton? How did you get it resolved?

Many of the people that will be coming to the convention by bus are airline
has par transit in there city. You can arrange to be picked up for 15.00
dollars. From the airport. Those who are arriving on the bus can get the par
transit to pick them up from the station and get to the hotel for 3.50 each
way.  For a very limited amount of people depending on the time you arrive I
may be able to get some people rides if we know very early of the time you
will arrive. Let me clarify no we are not able to provide everyone
transportation but it may be that some of us would be stuck with no
reasonable way to arrive to the convention. This would be determined on a
case by case bases. You can call me and we could arrange a ride that would

area
code.  It should be 937.   Also the hotel worker told me the greyhound
station has moved.  He told me it is about 25 miles from the hotel.
Unfortunately the station is outside the hotel's pick up radius.
