Hi Cindy,
Student Teaching is very important. Being late or leaving early could affect Kyle's evaluation.
Many blind people find it necessary to get a ride from a coworker or hire a driver.
Employers do not tolerate poor attendance for long.
You will find that many Transit Agencies are not very good when it comes to complaints.
Basically they do not care about people's dissatisfaction because they have so many people who use their service.
They also have many levels of penalties if Paratransit Users do not work within their limits or complain too much.
They also tend to back the drivers over riders no matter what.
I am not being pessimistic but I have served on the Board for riders in Toledo.
I have also been involghed in helping people file complaints or listening to the responses filed by TARPS.
One "of the things that Paratransit does is have two schedules. One for the driver and one for the passenger.
Passenger is told that pickup will be at a certain time. Driver is given a different time.
This is done routinely by some agencies.
I hope this is resolved so that Kyle can concentrate on other things.
There is a period of time agency has to respond to complaints. I think it is something like 21 days although I haven't reviewed that lately.
