I am proudly a conservative "right winger."  I support the adoption of
CRPD and contacted the senators with my opinion.  I think painting
anyone with a broad brush like this is not productive.  You may
disagree with legislators who voted against the treaty but they had
reasons.  One reason I heard was that many parents of children who are
disabled are afraid the UN will come in and tell them how to raise
their children.  You and I know this wouldn't happen but it is a real
concern to those parents.
