Subject: Question for NFB
Dear M. Smith
My name is Larry Gotlieb and I am conducting a campaign to provide an
assistive technology alarm clock to be donated to blind children. The clock
is truly amazing and somewhat different than others currently marketed to
the visually impaired. Without going into great detail, I provide you here
with the link to the campaign and there is an audio / video of the clock and
how it operates. The link is http://bit.ly/OvkfQT
The reason I reach out to you is because I NEED HELP. Help getting the word
out about this product. It is quite frustrating with all the noise on the
internet and the words so easily get lost in the shuffle. My frustration is
fueled by the fact that I have this amazing product and those with visual
impairments that have used it say the most incredible complementary things.
But I am having difficulty bridging the gap between what I have to say and
those who would want to listen.
Added to the frustration is the fact that if things do not go well then
there is a chance that this great product will be discontinued and not
available to those who could benefit the most from it. Right now I have
1100 pieces, and no future production is scheduled or warranted at this
time.
The charity campaign I initiated (linked provided above) has a limited time
frame of less than 4 weeks and I have no means to change the posting
settings to extend further in time.
So perhaps I am looking to you for a bit of guidance. How do I best get
this message out to those likely that will really want this. I spent 1 hour
earlier today with a gentleman who is blind and lives in MA. He called me
to rave about all the features and was so excited to get one. I tell you
the truth, that hour conversation provided me with the motivation to carry
forward, as the frustration up till then was getting the best of me. It
really was a reminder of what this is all about.
Sorry to be so wordy, but can you provide advice.
Sincerely,
Larry Gotlieb

(I am providing this same request to others because at this point I truly am
open to listen to whatever guidance may be offered)
