Dr. Smith, 

 

Please see the announcement and forward as you see fit. Director Miller and
I were scheduled to call you today, but I know he spoke with you prior to
that call. I personally want to thank you for your partnership over the last
3 years. It has been a great experience and it truly was a tough decision to
leave. I know that Director Miller will likely name and interim replacement
and then, eventually, a permanent one. As I know he mentioned to you on the
phone, he wanted me to reassure you that there are no plans to combine
bureaus or make changes to the bureau structure. Thanks again for your
partnership.
