Thank you for getting in touch with me about the commercialization of rest
areas on our nation's highways.
I share many of your concerns about this amendment, and voted against it
during the Senate's consideration of transportation authorization.
Commercializing rest areas would have significant and potentially
devastating effects on the many off-highway businesses in Ohio who have
already made significant investments at these locations.
I appreciate hearing your thoughts and will be sure to keep them in mind
should the Senate consider this matter in the future.
