The weather is hot and what could be nicer than a cold ice cream? When George hears a "jingle-jingle," he is curious and learns from the man in the yellow hat that it's an ice-cream truck. But George misses the truck - which follows a series of disappointments: the pool is closed, the sprinklers aren't working, and there are no ice cubes for his lemonade! And it's hot! A friend reassures him that the truck will be coming back again soon, and soon George hears the "jingle-jingle" coming closer. But while the driver goes to get some change, Curious George gets into mischief, offering ice cream to everyone but forgetting to collect the money. As with all Curious George books, the surprise ending is a happy one!
