[Ohio-talk] Convention

I have to say that I really was very moved by what Richard shared with us at the Convention on Saturday.
I cannot imagine what he endured after the accident. I am sure none of us can really understand that experience.
I wish we would have known your story a long time ago, Richard. It is something you don't share for various reasons and I am sure it was very painful for you to share. I want you to know though that it is really something for all of us to contemplate.
We certainly can see what you had to overcome to live your dream. These are the things we should share with newly blinded people and their families so that they can truly understand that blindness is not a tragedy.
I think you should record your story for NFB History.
I am not saying this because I want to experience this pain again but because I think your story may be helpful to those who come from similar circumstances.
I didn't cry but I really wanted to.
I know you probably think I just think about cats but I do have a very deep love for the NFB and our family members.
Again, Richard, thank you for sharing.
Colleen Roth
