Subject: Re: Meet the Blind
Hello Suzanne,
I am so excited about about the cleveland chapter having a walk in downtown cleveland for meet the blind month. I would love to partake in this most important event. However, i just got a job recently at marshall's department store and i will be working on that day. But if we have an event that is on the weekend then i would be able to partake in that event. Also is there anyway that i can get an email sent of me about last weeks meeting? I was not able to attend due to my grandfather being in the hospital. About two weeks ago we found out that he had bladder cancer. so they did a scope of his bladder and afterwards, he was supose to come home but could not due to not being able to use the bathroom. they are doing surgery on his prostate later on this afternoon. it's to see if they can get him to pee or not due to him being able to do so for the past week and a half. plus he had an .u.t.i last week due to the cancer that is inside of his body. That's why i have not bee to the past couple of meetings. Also due to my working now i don't know what my schedule is going to be from week to week so i will not be able to attend this years convention. but i will be able to attend next months meeting. I will give my 55 dollars towards the state on that night of our meeting. I attempted to contact william but with him being so busy! it's difficult to keep in contact.. thanks a lot for keeping me in formed as to what is going on with the chapter. i most greatly appreciate it.
sincerely, chenelle
take care suzanne and have a nice day.

SPRED The Word!!
Good Morning:
The Cleveland Chapter has organized a public walk in the Downtown area that will take place on October 3, 2012 at 11:45 AM.
The walk will begin behind Tower City on Huron Road moving around public Square into the horseshoe Casino.
While we are marching, literature will be distributed to the public educating them on what it means to be blind, what do you do when you meet a blind person, the importance of cane travel and on other significant issues.
Once we embark upon the Casino, here we will introduce Braille playing cards, dice and other recreational tools that aid us in promoting fun, accessibility and independence.
For those of us who do not enjoy slot machines or table festivities, you can partake of the buffet and other attractions. There are several guift shops and close by clothing stores for your pleasure.
However, the purpose of this endeavor is to prmote equality, liberty and enlightenment. Please do not mistake why “meet the Blind” is vitally significant and one of NFB’s initiatives.
This is an invitation for anyone who has a cane, a dog or sighted guide that is willing to promote awareness in Cleveland. We would like to take over the City with you and your peers. You do not need to be a member of the NFB of Ohio to participate.
For more information, contact William H. Turner, president of the Cleveland Chapter.
