Hi Carol,
We'll just say it's Parents' Division Fundraiser with some going to NFBO. We do want to support Parents' Division.
I will let you know how this turns out but I think we will have at least one parent meeting with those of us in Toledo who are At Large Chapter Members.
I also think we will have one parens with her son at the NFBO Convention.
She is not very familiar with NFB but does receive Future Reflections.
I will let you know definitely if she is coming.
As it turns out she is Dawn Lanting's first cousin. They never knew each other but knew about each other. This woman did not know about Dawn's blindness. As it turns out Adrianna has a son named John who is 17 and is blind.
He attended OSSB for about six years.
The books were $5.00 before but I didn't know if price changed.
Thanks,
Colleen

We had talked of having it earmarked for the new center being planned fir Ohio. I thought it would be nice to have an initial amount from parents as seed money if you will. But although most parents see the good in that idea, some think not.

Ohio list includes- Alliance, Athens, Beavercreek, Bowling Green, Chillicothe, Defiance, Dayton, Findlay, Kettering, Lancaster, Lima, Marion, Middletown, New Philadelphia, Newark, Piqua, Springfield, Wooster, Zanesville. A place for everyone to set up a table outside the store doors to sell booklets, give out NFB literature, demonstrate Braille by writing kids names, etc. meet the blind, their dogs, canes & technology! All while making money for our desperately aching treasury. Use this interaction for Gavel reports & more! Make it a chapter project, or even a challenge! It starts immediately & ends with the Community Days sale weekend. What do you think?
