Hi Wanda,
Why don't you get another cat?
They do make good company and they are easier to care for than a dog.
Dog people do not get upset. This is just a fact.
I do not have to take my cat out for a walk and to relieve itself.
Also I can leave my cat alone with food and water for a week. I wouldn't do this because my cat is so used to people she would be very discontent.
Seriously Wanda you might enjoy having another cat.
If you get meals on wheels they sometimes provide food for your pet too.
You really only to worry about a Rabies shot once every thre years.
There are also programs to help with Vet Care too.
