[Ohio-talk] Athens' First Accessible Playground

 Hello JW.
I suspect that our love of swing is why many people have swings or gliders on their frons porch.
I love to sit on a glider or swing and read a braille book.
I have to make sure I am in a closed area so I do not have to worry about dogs.
It's a good thing I do not have a fear of cats.
I think God for this every day because cats are so quiet and they can just come over fences to visit us.
This can be wonderful because they can bring so much pleasure.
Enjoy the playgrounds and take the children in your life there.
One of the parks in Toledo had a nice wheelchair swing. These swings are desifnged so that someone in a wheelchair can be put on the swing.
They do not have to be transferred from the wheelchair.
Some have nice things for the child to play with like little steering wheels or toy horns.
Unfortunately people decided it would be OK to vandalize this swing.
These swings are very expensive. We had one for the girls.
This park didn't have anything else which Davonna could use. We went there for a picnic.
I hope the park in Athens does not have any vandalism. It is so nice for children and for their parents. This way all of the children in a family can play on the playground.

> I am in total agreement with you. One of the areas that we should be stronger in is having our voice heard while plans for new construction are on the table and not after construction is finished. This takes some real vigilance, expertise, and patience. We have many new projects in the Cleveland area and we are not involved at the planning stage.
> We have a park like yours in Beachwood, Ohio, Preston's Hope. It is very nice and is well maintained and many children find it a fun place. The Cleveland Sight Center has a accessible playground under construction, maybe the next time you are in the area it will be complete and you can have a swing. smiles It is hot, stay hydrated and find a cool place to hang out.
