LEAP (Linking Employment, Abilities and Potential) serves persons with disabilities in eight northeast Ohio counties and promotes self-determination, peer support, self-help and self-advocacy, system advocacy, and equal access to society which leads to empowerment, independence, inclusion, and maximized leadership. The majority of board and staff members are persons with disabilities.  The LEAP Center for Personal Assistance offers three employment skills training and placement programs for persons with disabilities:  Home Health Aide/Personal Assistant training is an employment skills training program for persons interested in working as home health aides, attendants, and personal assistants. The State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) program is offered to qualified applicants seeking an advanced employment skills training program for persons with disabilities interested in working within the health care field. Dining Assistant Training is offered to persons with disabilities interested in working as certified Dining Assistants. The Community Employment program provides vocational rehabilitation services in seven counties to assist persons with disabilities in preparing for, obtaining and retaining employment. Also available is the Disability Education and Advocacy, a Youth Transition program and much more.
