I am not sure as to what you are addressing. However, I have already stated my position and understand well as to what the others are saying. Dignity is very important to me. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and for that I will not speak on this issue again.
I am a team player and if this is how the NFB addresses this matter, it is just that. However, last year at the National Convention, Dr. Maurer stated that we are people first and blindness secondly. I am only one person and starting to feel attacked. I thought we were a family. Family teaches and not condemn. Several emails such as today's, I think that this has gone too far. I am here to support, defend and protect those who have ideas and just ask for clarity and understanding.
I am proud of who I am and for that I do not have to apologize for my take on being politically correct. If the NFB has something written stating one can not voice their opinion, email it to me and I will review it.
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
Dignity, individuality, and respect is not the issue here. We can all agree that everyone deserves such treatment. All Barbara and others are saying is that it is respectable to be blind, and we should display our blindness proudly. Saying such things as "people who are blind" is just being verbose.
Blind pride!!!
Go Federation!!!
