Hi Carol,
Sister Linda Maria came to the US so that she could seek out a Religious Order. She could not find a Religious Order who would accept her in the Philippines.
It took her awhile in the United States too.
She is now a US Citizen.
She has been hospitalized in Toledo for High Blood Pressure too.
I imagine a lot of the equipment the school in Panai had will be destroyed too. I do not think they had much to begin with.
In the last month they had 2 Typhoons and one earthquake.
