[Ohio-talk] Recipes needed

Barbara I have a recipe. 
Colossal Caramel Apple Triffle
1 package of yellow cake mix (regular size)
6 cups of cold mild
2 packages (3-4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
1t of apple pice spice
1 jar (12 i/4 ounces) caramel ice cream topping
1-12 cups chopped pecans, toasted
2 cans (21 ounces each) apple pie filling
2 cartons (16 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions
Prepare and bake the cake according to package directions, using 2 greased 9 inch, round baking pans. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans. Cool completely on wire rack. 
In a large bowl, whisk milk, pudding mixes, and apple pie spice for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft set. 
Cut cake layer if necessary to fie evenly  in an 8 qt punch bowl. Poke holes in cake with a long wooden skewer; gradually pour a third of the caramel topping over cake. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup pecans and spread with half of the pudding mixture. 
Spoon one can of pie filling over pudding; spread with one carton of whipped topping. 
Top with remaining cake layer and repeat layers. Drizzle with remaining caramel topping and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Refrigerate.

I have just heard from Gary Wunder. North Dakota has fallen down on the job,
and Ohio needs to jump in to provide recipes for the May issue of the
Braille Monitor. I need six recipes immediately. You can't choose something
that you have submitted and we have used before. I will obviously fill in
with enough to meet our obligation, but I would love to have enough not to
need to do so. Please send me the recipes to my private address,
bpierce at oberlin.net. It would also help me if you would respond on this list
telling me how many you are sending.
