 Hello JW.
I found the Article about Disability Service Offices very interesting. I think in some ways things are worse now for students than they were before.
Students are not expected to advocate for themselves in High School and are therefore not prepared to do so after High School.
Some colleges want Medical Documentation in cases where it is obvious the person has a Disability.
For instance, when I signed up to take the Computer Class for Beginners at Owens they needed a document verifying my blindness. It really should have been obvious from the interview when I took in a Slate and stylus and a Victor Stream.
Maybe some students do not know what they can expect from a college and what their responsibilities are.
Sometimes starting out at a small college is a good thing.
This really was an interesting Article and I for one appreciated your pasting it into the email.
