Was this employment office one for the general public or do they deal with
people with disabilities (other than people on workman's comp) regularly?

Good morning,
I just wanted to give some information on my experience at the employment
office I went into today.
First, those that greeted me were very kind and generous. Secondly, those
who were employed as employment specialist or job coaches were very
aggressive and gentlemanly rude. After speaking with them further and
explaining why I was there. Certainly, as a citizen and one who is seeking
employment, I needed their help. Then, they became relaxed and understood
why I was there. Thirdly, my resume was reviewed and formatted to make a
better appearance. Surprisingly, I was told that my resume was very well
done and had a lot of experience. Therefore, my next step is to meet one on
one with a state representative who will assist me with unemployment as well
as job exploration. So, my experience has been a good one so far! I'll chime
in with more after meeting with my job coach next week.
No! There are no computers with software for those of us who are blind and
visually impaired. Therefore, I will make a suggestion when meeting with my
job coach that this is something that should be implemented into the air
department.
Suzanne
