First, it doesn't mention the ability to use both braille and speech
on a computer. I am working with a student and the other day he told
me he couldn't do what he was doing with out a braille display
connected. It makes it sound like it must be one or the other. If
you use one or the other it becomes competition and I don't believe
that is true. If you have a notetaker it can be connected to your
computer and used as a braille display. Yes, it may not be an option
for most people but if our children are learning to use both today
they will want both as adults.
