It is very very sad. Our exchange student, this year, is from Bosnia
and you won't believe the stories she tells us. The thought of her
returning to Bosnia gets me very upset. We all get angry at things in
the U.S., but we have things pretty good. The chances of her finding
a job or living on her own are almost nonexistent. She can't travel
independently with her cane because of feril dogs attacking the cane
and missing manhole covers that have been stolen to sell for money.
This is a real story about a real person so it brings it home to me.
