I would caution everyone that the price you get from Megabus will
probably be different from those shown. Megabus sells tickets at different prices so book early.

Hello List Viewers,
I am comparing Megabus fares with those of Greyhound.
I'm sure that by now, you're familiar with Megabus--the discounted-travel
company famous for its low fares.
The following information is for anyone traveling round trip from Cleveland to Columbus, ohio.
Fares and Schedules:
Departing Cleveland, Thursday, 10-30-2014:
Megabus has two busses--leaves Cleveland at the Stephanie Tuft-Jones Transit
Center at 21st and Euclid at 3:30 AM, arrives in Columbus at 6:35 Am--seats
are $6 each. Another bus leaves Cleveland from the Stephanie Tuft-Jones
Transit Center (21st and Euclid) at 3 PM, arriving Columbus at 6:15
PM--seats are $1 each.
Return trip:
Sunday, 11-02-2014--also two busses.
First bus leaves from the south east corner of Spring and South 4th Streets,
Columbus at 10:20 AM and arrives in Cleveland at around 1:15 PM--seats are
$2 each. The second bus leaves from the south east corner of Spring and
South 4th Streets, Columbus at 11 PM and arrives in Cleveland around 2
AM--seats are $6 each. Both busses drop passengers off at the Stephanie
Tuft-Jones Transit Center.
In other words, busses leave from the same starting location and drop off
passengers at the same location.
Note: If you book the reservation online, the fee is $1.50 per passenger.
If you make a reservation with a customer service representative, the fee is
$5 per passenger. needless to say, you save a lot when you book it online.
To contact customer service, call (877) 462-6342
Marryanne Denning pointed out an important fact to keep in mind: Megabus prices will probably be different from those shown. Megabus sells tickets at
different prices so book early. Thank you, Marryanne
Fares are subject to change without notice. For more information, go to
http://us.megabus.com/Default.aspx
and go to the FAQ section under "Making A Reservation."
Greyhound riders have plenty of busses from which to choose. For instance,
there is a 11:15 AM, 11:35, etc.
I would venture to say that there's a bus leaving Cleveland for Columbus
almost every hour, at least during the day.
Some of them are express busses and will get you there and back faster
Fares: The Monday through Thursday, fare is $25.92 one way and $51.84 round
trip. The same fare applies for Friday through Sunday
The Cleveland Greyhound station is located at 1465 Chester Ave. (216)
781-0520.
The Columbus Greyhound station is located at 111 East Town Street
(4145) 228-2266
IN sum, Whether you take the Megabus or the Greyhound depends on how much you're willing to spend and how adventurous you want to be.
