Can you get in touch with the comedian? That is doing the stand up this
week end. Richard

Subject: [Ohio-talk] Local comedians who talk about disability

Hi all,
Together with another blind student on campus I am forming an organization
for disabled students and allies. Everything is going according to plan, and
I think we should be able to be registered as an official organization but
the end of the week.
One of the things we talked about doing for a fundraiser is putting on a
comedy night. A deaf student in the organization said she would be willing
to try some standup, and I certainly have plenty of funny stories to tell.
The aim of the comedy night will be to show others that disabilities are
just a part of life and aren't something to be pitied. In sharing this with
our faculty advisor she looked up Josh blue, who has CP and one last comic
standing. Coincidentally, he is performing at the funny bone in Dayton this
weekend. Although I am kicking myself for not getting the club started a
month ago so we could sponsor a trip to see his show or have him do a
charity gig at UD, I am going to see him this weekend. It got the advisor
and me thinking about finding some local entertainment to do comedy
performance is here. I was wondering if anyone happen to know of anything in
the area. The only other person I can think of is a blind woman in
California, Who will probably be glad to show off her stand up skills, but
we would need to raise at least enough money for her airfare and hotel
costs. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Sent from my iPhone
