Many school districts hang a poster in the labs that has a picture of
a woman using a white cane.  The message on the poster is "Carol
didn't wear safety glasses and now she doesn't need to."  There is a
petition on change.org asking the company that sells these posters to
stop selling them because of the negative message about blindness.
Someone also pointed out that even if you are blind you need to wear
safety glasses when working with chemicals.  Please sign if
interested.
