Hello, I realize that the drivers are Independent Contractors but I find it interesting that they are going to sue.
When they sign up to drive for Uber and Lyft I am sure they are told they need to maintain their own vehicle and then are not reimbursed for gas.
It will be interesting to see what happens although I imagine Uber and Lyft will win this fight.
Some taxicab companies who have an app for summoning cabs will fit the Criteria in the State Bill when the ride is summoned via a phone app or the internet according to the law.
