[Ohio-talk] Schwans Cares--Fundraiser Starting Soon!

Greetings Listers,

A new fundraising campaign will start Monday, July 27.  Schwans:  a household name synonymous with great food and convenience, has provided an opportunity for organizations such as the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio to raise funds for our affiliate and enjoy prepared groceries, including ice cream treats, all delivered to your door.

Schwans Cares program, explained:
 
there are two components to the Schwans Cares fundraising program: 
First, there is the active period, which lasts 45 days.  During this time, the affiliate will receive 20% of anything you order.  If you buy an e-card for anyone on your gift-giving list, the affiliate will receive 40%.  For instance, if you buy a $25 e-card, the affiliate will get $10 from that transaction.  E-cards can only be purchased during the 45-day active period and only one to a customer, please. 

Second, there is an "annuity" period, which lasts 90 days.  During this period, any order you place will benefit the affiliate by 5%.  That might not sound like much, but our combined ordering strength will surely make a difference. 
 

To get the most out of this program and to benefit the affiliate, I suggest during the active period, you buy an e-card, which gives the NFB of OH 40% and then turn around and order your products, which will benefit the NFB of OH another 20%.  Wow, 60%!  I don't know any other program that can beat that. 

The active campaign period will begin Monday, July 27, and will end Thursday, September 10, 2015.  The "annuity" period will start after that and will go on for 90 days until December 10, 2015. Unlike Malley's, which limited the types of items you can order, Schwans makes all its products available to you, and, at the same price as the noncampaign ordering. 
 
Please note that you can order through the general campaign page, or just like Malley's, you can create your own personal page where others can order from you.  Anyone with a personal page becomes a distributor, so it's best to order through the campaign page. 
A Schwans driver will deliver your order to the specified address. 
You can also order by phone using a designated number.  Regardless of your favorite ordering mode, you need to specify our campaign ID, and I will provide this information this coming Monday.

Meanwhile, here is a list of some of their products.  It's not an inclusive list as Schwans has over 350 items in its repertoire, but this will give you an idea of their offerings.  Remember, prices are subject to change.  Shawn and I have tried quite a few of the products on the list, and we love them!
