Attention Performing Arts division Members and supporters,

With less than two weeks until the record-breaking Convention of the
National Federation of the Blind, the student division presents, Penny Wars.
In the Exhibit Hall, from July 6-9, currently the National Association of
Blind Students, The Performing Arts Division, Parents Division, Merchants
Division, Lawyers Division, and the Travel and Tourism Division, will be
enthusiastically collecting change from Federationists. These donations will
not be given to just NABS, though. Instead, national divisions will be
competing, head-to-head, against each other. On Friday, July 10th, the
winning division will be announced; and that division will receive 50% of
all money raised among all divisions, while NABS will take home the other
half. Let's have that division be ours!!!

>From Monday, July 6-Thursday, July 9, the National Association of Blind
Students will track the progress of all divisions involved, as we compete
for the most change in our bucket. The buckets will be set
up on the NABS Exhibit Hall table (B25) with both Braille and print labels
showing which division corresponds to what bucket. While the Hall is open,
the NABS board and general membership will be collecting donations for all
divisions. You should remember that we want to donate to our own division,
but please remember to put pennies in the buckets of the division we want to
beat the most (Lawyers). Federationists will be able to hold the buckets
throughout the week, to see how much they weigh, and the NABS Board will be
doing periodic counting for progress each night. Regardless, the final
winner will be announced on Friday, July 10!

Additionally, we will be collecting donations during our division meeting,
and then we will turn those donations in to NABS the following day.

The Point System:

Pennies = -5 points (do not put these coins in our division bucket, instead
throw the pennies in our biggest competitor's bucket) (Lawyers)

Nickel = 5 points

Dime = 10 points

Quarter = 25 points

$1: 100 points

$5 = 500 points,

. And so on

                Who Wins?

The division with the most amount of points at the end of the day Thursday
take's to the bank 50% of all profits raised by all divisions, while the
National Association of Blind Students will claim the other half.

We look forward to seeing you in Orlando, and let's use our change to change
what it means to be blind!

Performing Arts Division table: (c20).

The national federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raze the
expectations of blind people because lo expectations create opsticals
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
