We are a little behind schedule, but we still have time to make the run-walk that we began planning in January a success.
Those more familiar with these events than I say most races don't make a profit on the first event.
But I know we can make money for the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio on our first race.
How do I know that? Because we are the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio. We know we can lise above low expectations.
Although we started planning this race in January, this has been a long held dream for several of us in the affiliate. JW began talking about this early in his administration. Other affiliate leaders said we would help him, but we couldn't get any traction with the idea.
But now we know how to get it done. We can make the Dr's dream come true. We can make our dreams come true because we know that the money we raise will help build a brighter future for blind children and adults.
There are many things you can do to support this cause. You don't have to be a runner or a walker. I'm certainly not. You don't have to live in or near Columbus. I don't. But I am going to see that this race is a success. Will you join me.
Think about what you can do and let me know as soon as possible.
One of Shelbi's cousins is forming a team.
Don't asking me when where or anthing else about the details of the race at this point. The link to the registration page is on the affiliate Website. Go check it out. It is now 12:55 Am on Saturday morning. I won't start answering questions about the details of the race until 24 hours from now. If you want to discuss how you can contribute to our success, I am available now.
President Payne worked hard to ge the link to the race registration page on the site. Thank him for his work by going and registering for the race and getting the inforation you need.
Eric
