Attention BARD users!
The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically
Handicapped, NLS, is now offering new software to make downloading
books easier.
BARD Express is software that you can download for Windows PCs
(unfortunately it is not currently available for Mac) to help you
browse the books available on BARD. It will also help you download
titles and transfer them to a cartridge or USB drive.
BARD Express manages the audio materials that you download to your
computer and organizes them for easy sorting. The program also
removes the need to manually unzip files which simplifies the process
of transferring talking books and magazines to a cartridge or USB drive.
You can find out more about BARD Express at the link below or under
the Additional Links section after you log into the BARD website.
For help signing up for BARD, please contact your Regional Library, or go to
https://nlsbardpractice.loc.gov/LOC_02/BARDExpress.html
for BARD Express.

A man has made at least a start on discovering the meaning of human
life when he plants shade trees under which he knows full well he will
never sit.
