[Ohio-talk] best windows operating system?

Cheryl,
Windows 10 is just fine.
However, you are going to have to update your JAWS version whatever
operating system you go with.
If the employer will not pay for Jaws 17 (the current version), then I would
suggest Windows 10 and the NVDA screen reader, which is free.
Good luck.
Deborah

Hi Cheryl,

I have been told to wait on downloading windows 10 until all the bugs have
been worked out in regard to assistive technology such as JAWS. I hope this
helps you.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.

Subject: [Ohio-talk] best windows operating system?

Hi Everyone,

I will be getting a new computer to use for a work at home job. I will have
to use Jaws 12 with it. Does anyone know if Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows
10 would be best for compatibility with Jaws 12? Also, are there any
accessibility problems with any one of these operating systems that would
make me want to avoid it?

Thanks,

Cheryl
