We are fortunate to have a lot going on for fundraising efforts in Ohio!  Malleys, Scrip, Races and Pigs, to name a few. Each event should build momentum for the next one and give everyone options for helping the affiliate to raise funds. As people see the NFB getting involved in more projects, events, and creating more visibility of the organization, we should see more people becoming interested in what we do.  Each time we provide a service to the public, an educational piece, an opportunity to observe us in action, it helps build  followers or watchers of the organization.   The public watches organizations to see what they do, how they get things done, how they are involved in the community and what kind of a difference they make in the community.
As we move from one fundraising effort to the next, we should all work together as a team to make each one a success.  Everyone can do something to help even if you cannot attend a specific fundraising event.  In all organizations, one event can  lead to the next, each building  off the other like a snow ball effect.  Each event has the potential to build followers that will continue to support the NFB in the next event and the one after that, if we work together to get it done.  I have watched several organizations have  events throughout the year  and people, including myself, cannot wait for the next one they have because we see the way they work together and make each one successfully happen.  They just keep the momentum going and flowing from one event to the next.  It is a good feeling.
Calling all PIgs!  There are piggies out to be adopted, and the people who have physical pig tickets, you who you are, he  who has swine in hand.  It is important to get those current pigs adopted and the owners names turned in by Monday February 29th.  Leap year for Pigs. The more pigs that get adopted, the more money the affiliate brings in.  Any farmers out there?  At least our pigs don't smell.  Who out there needs some pigs?  Who wants their name in the pot for a $5,000 prize? (and $5,000 to NFB Ohio if you win.)  How about a  paid lease on a car ( you can give it to your kiddo to drive you around) or a Cincinnati getaway!.   There's a Pig for that.Let's go Pigs! oink oink

You can go online to order at www.piggestraffle.com or you can have physical tickets.  Carol, the pig caller
