Dear Fellow Federationists:

The National Federation of the Blind is partnering with Aira
<https://aira.io/> to make its technology available to blind students who
are starting their freshmen college year. Aira is a company that uses smart
glass technology, live agents, and artificial intelligence to assist blind
people in understanding and navigating their environment. These students may
find this technology very useful as they navigate their new college campus
and the surrounding community, process all the printed information that will
be handed out to them, and more. If you know of blind college freshmen in
your affiliate, please make sure they get the following information as there
are a few spots left for this time sensitive offer:

Through a partnership with Aira's Back to School Program, selected blind
college freshmen can receive a free nine-month subscription to four hundred
minutes of Aira services, as well as onboard training, data, and the
wearable glasses. In order to apply for this opportunity:

*	You must be legally blind.
*	You must be beginning college as a first-year student in the fall of
2017.

To be considered for one of these subscriptions, please complete this short
application online <https://aira.io/students> . There are a limited number
of applications that will be accepted, so please fill it out as soon as
possible.

Good luck, and all our best for the new school year!

who believe in the hopes and dreams of the nation's blind. Every day we work

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back
