Barbara, thank you.
Your message means so much to me. Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. I will hold these words close as I begin my new journey.

Best Regards,
Sheri Albers, Vice President
National Federation of the Blind of Ohio

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

The sun came out yesterday to celebrate your job. This news transformed my day as well. All I can say is that there are lots of people in Hamilton who don’t know it yet, but they just got a new lease on life yesterday with your appointment to help them. I know that your compassion and toughness will shine through to inspire them. Don’t be afraid to use their reaction to your blindness to push them forward and try harder.

Congratulations!
Barbara
