The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Twenty-one years ago this summer I attended my first National Federation of the Blind convention. I had no idea what kind of future I could have as a blind person. I also did not know how much I did not know. Read the letter from the President <https://nfb.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=9066&qid=1877139>

IN IMAGINEERINGS BEGIN RESPONSIBILITIES Before the concept of “imagineering our future” was articulated, NFB President Mark Riccobono was imagineering his personal future in his own quiet, natural way. Article by William Meeker <https://nfb.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=9067&qid=1877139> & Cheryl Orgas.

REFLECTIONS FROM A FRIEND As I have worked with President Riccobono over the years, I have watched him grow in his leadership abilities and in his own confidence and strength. <https://nfb.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=9068&qid=1877139> Read the article by Rachel Olivero.

ACTION ITEM Plan a movie night to watch <https://nfb.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=9069&qid=1877139> Do You Dream in Color? which helps to explain why our President works so hard to improve education for our kids.
