Hi Vincent,

Shawn and I were wondering what happened to you as we haven't heard from you in a while. We're glad you want to move back to Cleveland.

The city of Cleveland and some of its surrounding inner-ring areas has pretty good transportation. I say it's pretty good because coming from New York City where transportation is a 24-hour affair, it just doesn't compare. As you know, the closer you stick to Cleveland proper, the better its transportation will be.

In terms of buses, the 55 travels from Downtown Cleveland, to the near west side and into Lakewood along Clifton Boulevard to the West Gate Transit Center, its last stop. On Detroit Road, just one block south is the 26, which also starts out from Downtown Cleveland and ends up at the West Gate Transit Center as it travels on that road as well. If you don't want to walk From Clifton to Detroit, there are two north-south buses you can take. There is the 78 at West 117th and the 83 at Bell Road in Lakewood.

Now that we have the transportation straight, consider living where we live, Capital Properties Management (CPM), who is listed on "apartments.com." They own several buildings, of which two are on Clifton Boulevard. Call the leasing office at (216) 281-4967 to inquire about available units, which range from efficiencies to two-bedroom apartments. One great feature is that laundry facilities are available on every floor. Having a laundry room on each floor means a lot when you have to carry a heavy hamper full of clothes.

Area Amenities

Clifton BLVD. and its surrounding streets is a walkable area, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Just near our building alone is a supermarket about two blocks away, a 24-hour CVS, two diners, and more retail businesses are also moving into the area. Within a year's time or less, Lucky's supermarket is coming, a Chipotle, a beauty Salon and more will be fully operational. That's just on Clifton BLVD. alone. If you walk down to Detroit, just one more block south, you have a 24-hour Walgreens and a 24-hour diner (My Friend's) restaurant, which has really good food. Lakewood begins on the west side of West 117th, and that town also offers lots of shopping and dining. On West 117th, there's a Sapels Supermarket, Wendy's, Walgreens, Panda Wok Chinese Restaurant and takeout, Mr. Heroes,KFC, Taco Bell, Arby's Pizza Hut, Aldy's Supermarket, Rally's McDonalds, Burger King, and Subway, just to name a few.

By the way, we have our meetings at the Tick Tock Tavern, just a short walk from our building, the Clifton Park Apartments.

If you have any questions, e-mail me off list or call me at (216) 939-0502.

Downtown Cleveland will offer more amenities and more transportation, but it's also more financially prohibitive to live there. Traveling downtown is as easy and as convenient as taking the 55 or the 26 buses, and if you want to attend an event, you can get there in about 10 minutes.

If CPM has no apartments, consider the Hidden Village Apartments on West 118th Street, just inside Lakewood. Hidden Village is very close to Sapels, if that's a concern for you.

That's all for now. I hope I've given you enough information about Clifton BLVD and its surrounding roads for you to consider as a possible destination for your move.

All the Best,
Milena
