I think you are good for today. We will see if the bill gets on this week's
agenda. If not, we will start over and do this again next Monday! Thank you
so much!

Hello Ohio,
Me again. Done with the email too! Is there any other way to make our point
to Mr. Larry Obhof?
This is the automatic reply I received from Mr. Larry Obhof, the President
of the Ohio Senate. FYI.

Good afternoon y'all,
First of all, I would like to thank Mike Leiterman and his team for their
hard work and making The HB-309 reach this far.
Also, I would like to thank all of those who already called and made their
voice heard and count!
I did call few minutes ago, at 12:25 pm. I found a person by the name of
Adam and left the following statements to be passed on to the President of
the Ohio Senate (Larry Obhof):
Statement 1: I am in favor of HB-309, and Statement 2: I am requesting that
HB-309 be sent to the floor for a full vote.
Please keep reading till the end. Thanks.
For those who are not aware of the details of the bill, I would like to make
the following two important points:
Point 1:
"This BILL deals with eliminating for good in the State of Ohio the use of
a person's blindness to deny or limit custody, parenting time, visitation,
adoption, or service as a guardian or foster caregiver, regarding a minor."
To read more ask your President's chapter to provide the full bill for you.
Point 2:
In the Bill, there is a very supportive and touching real story presented by
Suzanne Turner, President of the Cleveland Chapter. I strongly recommend
reading it! It is really worth reading and sharing with the rest of the
membership in your chapter. This is another reason to ask the president of
your chapter to send you the full House Bill (HB-309.) Furthermore, after
finishing reading the story, you will find yourself automatically picking up
the phone and Calling the President of the Ohio Senate, Mr. Larry Obhof!!!
I am going now to follow the footsteps of Barbara Pierce and send an email
to make sure my voice is heard and counted!
Have a great day y'all.

Dear Fellow Federationists,
Our Ohio Blind Parents Bill of Rights house bill 309 has passed the senate
judiciary committee. This bill has one major hurtle to make it over before
the bill is signed into law, and that is getting HB-309 before the entire
senate for a full vote.
Please take note, if we do not get HB-309 signed in to law before this
session ends, we will be require to start from the very beginning when the
next term starts. Thank you in advance for your help in getting HB-309
passed.
Our membership needs to have the President of the Ohio Senate Larry Obhof
call for a full senate vote on house bill 309. We need our membership to
make calls to Larry Obhof at the following number: (614)
466-7505<tel:(614)%20466-7505>
. Most likely you will be sent straight to voicemail, please leave a message
stating who you are and that you are in favor of HB-309. Also, please
indicate that you are requesting that HB-309 be sent to the floor for a full
vote.
Best,
Michael Leiterman
