I want to know when the surgery is going to be. I want to be praying. Actually, most of what happened did get through, it was just the nature of the correcting surgery that got garbled.

We are having a quiet summer. We go to Stratford the second week of August with Margy. Otherwise we are watching the tomatoes grow and hoping that the new bushes we put in ar taking hold. It will be wonderful to have the Duffys back in Ohio late this month. I just hope that he can find a job.

Our daughter Anne was cut off by another driver on her way home from work a cople of weeks ago, and she totaled her car crashing into a wall.
She walked away from the accident, but she is now looking for another car. That is about all the news.

Thinking of you,
Barbara

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

The stem of the hip replacement is sliding down into the pipe that is my femur, and multiple fractures in the femur are the result. Thus, I have no choice but to have another surgery to correct it. It will either be a replacement of the stem and some shoring up of the femur again, or a total femur replacement. The latter is extremely rare and scary, but will probably be what happens.

That is my big problem, knowing how to reach people who could benefit from the discussion. We can but try. How are you doing? I hear that you are facing a hip replacement. What a bummer! Do let me know how you are and what you are thinking about returning to Cincinnati.
