I am usually one of the behind-the-scenes people and anyone who does that
work is highly valued. It takes a lot of people to make this successful.

Well this day is teacher's appreciation day and
we in the federation are always thankful for anyone that teaches braille.
This program has and will continue to be one of it's kind. I have done
everything that we could do to support the teachers and students to assure
that this program was the best that it could be. We should be proud of our
efforts and thanks to the team around the state that may not be out front
but took part by giving what ever we asked of you. OOD has been a great
partner in this and that should be noted also. We have always talked about
the importance of being literate and will continue to promote braille.

Rchpay7 at gmail.com The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness
is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we
raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create
obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you
want; blindness is not what holds you back

Debbie Baker and I have completed the weekend trainings in all four cities
and our students are making rapid progress. We have several students who
have almost finished all of the lessons to learn uncontracted Braille. It is
exciting to work with all of these students because they are enthused about
learning Braille. We want to thank everyone who has supported us through
this process.
