Greetings Friends,
Do you want to learn Narrator for Windows 10? Narrator has gotten a lot better since 2010 and if you happen to find yourself at a computer without a screen reader, you can operate the unit due to Narrator. How about at work, when your JAWS or NVDA is of no help? Narrator can come to the rescue. You can even help friends, family and coworkers with their computer and amaze them all!
Interested? Then join The NFB Assistive Technology Trainers Division with Chancey Fleet and others remotely at a free community workshop on Narrator for Windows 10. Please read on for more details:
Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Getting Started with Narrator: a free community workshop with NFB's Assistive Technology Trainers Division
Workshop: Monday May 21, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM EDT
This free online workshop is presented by the National Federation of the Blind Assistive Technology Trainers Division.
Are you new to Windows, or new to blindness? Did you decide back in 2010 that Narrator was a joke? Do you need an easy way to work on shared computers or help friends and family with theirs?
Narrator has come a long way in recent years, and we'd like to introduce you to Narrator for Windows 10. With tech coaches Nancy, Janine and Chancey, you'll find out what you need to know to get started with this free built-in screen reader:
-- How to start it, stop it, and get help
-- Which tasks it works well for, and when you might want to make other plans
-- Adjusting your settings and making it yours
-- Top commands you need to know
-- What's up with Braille support and touch gestures
Interested? E-mail Chancey.Fleet at gmail.com or tweet @ChanceyFleet to receive the Zoom link that lets you in, via the web or your landline phone. If you're an emerging tech user and have a hard time composing email, please call or text 347-632-8383.
