Holiday Hints is the topic of this month’s “Facing Blindness” Teleconference scheduled for  this Sunday, November 18, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  To participate, dial in to  (712) 775-7031, and enter access code 240281423. 

Just in time for Thanksgiving, and looking ahead to the season of celebrating, we will share tips and tricks to help with holiday preparations and festivities, including alternative methods of shopping for food and gifts, accessible ways to replace traditional greeting cards, gift-wrapping tips, navigating and participating in holiday gatherings, decorating with safety in mind, and food preparation .  Join the conversation, whether you are new to blindness and have questions to bring to the group, or if you have experienced many holidays as a blind person and can share some of your solutions to holiday hurdles. The teleconference is open to anyone dealing with blindness or new to vision loss, regardless of membership in NFB.  The call is sponsored by the NFBOH Senior Division, but is open to callers of all ages.
