Produce Perks
Produce Perks is a program for current SNAP recipients. At participating farmers markets and Dave's grocery stores, customers can double their SNAP dollars up to $20 (per farmers market, per day) and up to $10 at retail grocery stores. They just visit the customer service desk and request to participate in Produce Perks. They will receive tokens (which never expire!) to spend at farmers markets or coupons to spend at retail grocery stores. It really is that simple! Here is a great website that explains how it works : <https://produceperks.org/how-it-works/> https://produceperks.org/how-it-works/
Produce Perks helps stretch SNAP dollars and supports the local economy. It also provides an incentive and means to increase access to fresh produce, which is critical in food deserts, where many SNAP recipients live. We aim to increase not only SNAP enrollment, but also visibility of the Produce Perks program. This program results from multisystem collaborations and your program is one of the touch points we identified that can help us promote this opportunity to our shared service populations, especially older adults and adults with disabilities. How can we work together to increase awareness and use of Produce Perks?
In addition to the website above explaining how Produce Perks works, attached is a postcard listing all participating market locations.
The link below describes how SNAP and Produce works at farmers markets throughout the state including the 23 in Cuyahoga County.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
