Dear Mr. Lee C. Martin, Sr.,
On behalf of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission, Indiana Black Expo, Inc., AFSCME Local 725,
and the State of Indiana, congratulations on being selected winner of the
28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Celebration Freedom
Award.
The Freedom Award is granted to individuals or projects whose major societal
influence includes breaking down barriers that have divided us in the past
and/or building ongoing relationships that foster respect, understanding,
and harmony in our community.
This year's Celebration will be held on Thursday, January 10th at the
Indiana Statehouse. Please arrive no later than 12:40 PM to receive this
award. Please confirm your attendance and any guests by replying to this
email. We're looking forward to hosting Governor Eric Holcomb, Lt. Governor
Suzanne Crouch, members of the Indiana General Assembly and many more at
this year's Celebration.
Parking is available at the Senate Avenue Parking Facility (220 N. Senate
Avenue) and the Washington Street Parking Facility (401 W. Washington
Street). We will validate parking before your departure from the parking
facilities. Please keep in mind that these parking garages will be nearly
full by the time of your arrival as the General Assembly is in session.
Metered parking will also be available on the streets around the Statehouse.
