Last evening you should have received the spring edition of the Buckeye Bulletin. It was in the body of the email message because attachments do not do well on our listserv. If you want a Word version of the newsletter, email me off list so that I can reply with an attachment, and I will be happy to send it to you. I urge you to save this issue. It has the full list of committee appointments in it. Reading this list is the way you have of knowing if you have been appointed to a committee and what that committee is charged with accomplishing this year. The newsletter also contains the fact sheets we worked with in Washington. When you get a plea to call your member of Congress or Senator to urge his or her support of one bill or another, rereading one of these fact sheets is the best way I know to prepare yourself to make an intelligent phone call. Richard has provided important information about the national convention this summer. And the calendar provides key dates for you to remember this year. So don’t just delete the newsletter, file it away where you can find it for future reference.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
