Ohio, Yesterday I was able to attend the Cleveland chapter meeting. Dr.
Peters also was in attendance at this meeting and it was full of new and
encouraging federation spirit. We had five members of our state board who
were at this meeting three members of this chapter serve on the board.
We sold thirteen Kenneth Jernigan Convention tickets at this meeting and I
could feel people listening when I asked who he was, and Billy told them . I
think this was great because it seemed to me that the members of this
chapter understood. . I am in this area because the membership committee
led by Suzanne and Dr. Peters has organized a seminar in Youngstown. We hope
to provide information about the federation and other services but at the
same time to be able to have enough contact information to start another
chapter.
We will be starting to work on the state convention soon so please feel free
to email me your thoughts about agenda items and even suggestions about the
theme. I look to either see you soon or hear from you.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back
