I had my address at the bottom of my testimony, so they did not ask. But they want to be sure that you are an Ohioan and probably whose district you are in. This is pretty standard.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

I know we are all busy getting ready for convention, but there is not much more you can possibly do that is more important than writing a few paragraphs in support of this bill and making sure your voice is heard. If you need help getting this done, please reach out to other busy people who are also getting ready for convention. Our legislative chair Sheri Albers will provide you with priceless information and assistance, if you just reach out to her. Barbara Pierce and I will do what we can to assist as well.
