I talked with Deborah this morning. She is now in a rehab facility. She has been there since Saturday just waiting to begin physical therapy. While we were talking, someone cane in to collect her for that joyous experience. She has ben walking around her room with a walker since the day after her surgery. She is already back to doing her work for NLS. She is dealing with a good bit of pain, but she is hopeful that things are going well and that she will be able to make progress now that she has the right kind of hip replacement. She is still in need of prayer and any kind of encouragement we can pass along to her. She says that she will listen to our convention this weekend.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise expectations for blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
