I just reported one of the text messages to the police. I was told to
document them and they can be brought up on fraud charges if they do not
stop.

I wanted to put you on notice that Someone's Sending Email that Looks Like
it's from Me to My Contacts, I would not ask anyone by text or email to buy
credit cards or anything for me by email or text. We have noticed that
several state presidents and members of affiliate board members have
received these messages before. Please delete any text or emails that you
receive that appear to come from me with those type of request. You should
pay attention to the phone number and email address.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back
