Here is information about an art exhibit at the Contemporary Art Center. I
am happy that museums are doing more to make exhibits accessible.
Also - the Contemporary Arts Center's Robert Colescott Exhibit, opening this
Friday (20th) features contributions from Clovernook's Arts and
Accessibility Initiative. The initiative developed immersive and detailed
descriptive text, working with a diverse focus group of individuals who are
blind or low vision. This text was recorded in an audio format, along with
the exhibit's panel text - and braille booklets of this content have also
been provided for the exhibit. It is Colescott's first career retrospective,
and the exhibit was featured in the New York Times this month. Clovernook's
Arts Initiative has been working with an increasing number of cultural
institutions, and we are excited to help provide improved experiences at
these institutions for people who are blind or low vision.
