Good afternoon 2020 Census Partners,

How will you recognize Census Day tomorrow? Please let me know what you are doing or what you did. It seems like forever ago we were talking about this date and making plans leading up to it. While you may not be able to have the large celebration you planned, there are still ways to celebrate Census Day virtually! Below are a few ways in which you can support the 2020 Census online:
Repost Census Bureau Facebook messages (https://www.facebook.com/uscensusbureau).
Retweet Census Bureau tweets (https://twitter.com/uscensusbureau).
Challenge your employees/customers/clients/stakeholders to complete the census. Ask them to post their 2020 Census selfie or video and then tag others asking them to do the same! Be sure to use the #2020CensusChallenge hashtag for this one!
Challenge a neighboring town/city/county/state or organization to a self-response rate challenge utilizing the Census Bureau's self-response rate map (https://2020census.gov/en/response-rates.html).
Host a Zoom meeting or Facebook Live session with your colleagues/clients/stakeholders to celebrate Census Day!
We use the #2020Census and #shapeyourfuture hashtags on social media.
So far 50 million households have responded, and the self-response rate in Ohio is 37.6% (compared to 34.7% nationally). Let's see how our efforts can help to increase those numbers tomorrow! Remember that it has never been easier to respond on your own, whether online, over the phone, or by mail - all without having to meet a census taker.
The response rates map is updated daily at www.2020census.gov/response-rates.
Answers to common questions about responding online are available at https://2020census.gov/en/help/responding-online.html.
Field operations have been suspended for now. The Census Bureau continues to evaluate all 2020 Census field operations, and will communicate any further updates as soon as possible.
Thank you for the work you've already done to support the 2020 Census. Partners and trusted voices like you in the community are key to ensuring a complete and accurate count. Let's keep up our efforts to make sure Ohio is accurately represented in the 2020 Census!

If you have any questions or need anything at all, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,
Carie
